Sariya ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our website and Chrome extension.

2. Data We Collect

A. Text Data

To provide grammar and spelling checks, Sariya processes the text you enter into supported fields. This text is sent securely to our API to generate corrections. We do not store this text permanently unless you explicitly save a draft to your account.

B. Usage Data

The website may collect anonymous product statistics (such as features used and language selected) to improve the service. The Chrome extension does not load website analytics and does not use your writing as analytics data.

C. Account Information

If you create an account, we collect your email address and basic profile information to manage your subscription and sync your preferences.

D. Chrome Extension

The Chrome extension is guest-capable and activates only after you click its toolbar action or choose its selected-text context menu item. It does not check text while you type. Text is sent to Sariya's Cloudflare Worker only after you click "Check text" or explicitly request a selected-text check. The Worker may use a configured AI processing provider (Vercel AI Gateway, OpenRouter, or Google Gemini) to return the correction. Transliteration requests are sent to the Worker, which uses Google Input Tools to return suggestions. Voice typing stays in Chrome's Web Speech API; audio is not sent to Sariya. The extension does not require an account, use advertising, sell your writing, or retain extension text in the extension itself.

3. How We Use Data

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data or use extension text for advertising. Website data may be shared with service providers necessary to operate Sariya, including Cloudflare (hosting and request handling), the configured AI provider that returns writing suggestions, Google Input Tools for transliteration, Clerk for account authentication, and Tawk.to only when you start a support chat.

• Live support chat is provided through Tawk.to. When you start a chat, your messages — and, if you are signed in, your name and email — are shared with Tawk.to to handle your request.

5. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data during transmission and storage. Extension text is sent over HTTPS request bodies; it is not placed in extension URLs. All API communication is encrypted via SSL/TLS.
